This textbook is written in accordance with the 2019 English Language Syllabus for Standard Seven, issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The textbook consists of 16 units which are Friendship, Chicken's life, Helping others, My country, Learning through mistakes, Nightmare, Annual awards, Public holiday, Accident, Inter-school competition, Expressing views, Achieving your dream, Human rights, Using opportunities, Disaster and School ceremony. Each unit. contains six main activities intended to help you acquire the four language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. The activities and exercises are systematically organised so that you can practise each of the intended language skills and vocabulary. Each practice has activities that allow interaction between you and the teacher and between you and other pupils so as to develop the intended English language skills for effective. communication. Therefore, you are advised to work on the activities and exercises in this textbook and other activities given by the teacher.
