I recently read this poetry book ,Mtale Wa Ngariba.It is a compelling poetry book that narrates the life of a Maasai girl who endures severe hardships from an early age.The story addresses critical social issues such as female genital mutilation,child marriage,sexual abuse and exploitation. Through its powerful narration,the book raises awareness about gender based violence and harmful cultural practices while also highlighting the resilience of the human spirit.Despite the painful experience she faces ,the protagonist eventually finds liberation and uses her voice to share her story,becoming an advocate for the empowerment and protection of women and a girl child in society. The emotianal depth of the book makes it both impactful and thought provoking ,although some sections may be distressing tosensitive readers. overrall,Mtale wa Ngariba is an insightul and inspiring read that i strongly recomend to readers who seek to understand and support the fight against injustice and empowerment of women.
